The International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) is pleased to announce its newest staff member, Jane Kitchen, who joins the ISPA team as editor of BedTimes magazine. A seasoned writer and editor, Kitchen brings more than 18 years of editorial experience to the 96-year-old publication.

In her new role, Kitchen will cover mattress industry news and trends for ISPA members and other manufacturers and suppliers, and will set the editorial tone and direction of the publication.

“I’m thrilled to be joining ISPA and BedTimes,” said Kitchen. “It’s exciting to be involved in such an innovative industry, and also with a publication with such a rich and well-established history.”

Kitchen began her career in the home furnishings industry in 2002 as editor of the juvenile products trade publication Kids Today, which covers the manufacturing, selling and regulation of furniture, gear, mattresses and textile products for children ages 0-12.

In addition, Kitchen’s work has been featured in Earnshaw’s, Hispanic Magazine, homefurnishings.com, Home Textiles Today, Furniture Today, Playthings, Gifts & Decorative Accessories, The Fashion Times, The South Florida Gourmet, and Miami Today.

“Jane’s longstanding experience in and connections to the mattress industry make her a perfect fit for this position,” noted Mary Helen Uusimaki, ISPA vice president of membership and communications. “She’s a sought-after industry expert with extensive knowledge of trends, product functionality and innovation. She will be a huge asset to ISPA.”
