University of Maine Innovation partnership for COVID-19 response
If businesses have unique ideas on how to develop products that could be of help to combat covid-19, they should reach out through this venue. The University of Maine has formed an innovation team to help evaluate and develop solutions to the shortages of supplies and challenges faced by Maine’s health care centers since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This group has been cataloging needs from area hospitals and medical centers, and collecting information worldwide to vet innovations that have been tried and used. We are fielding inquiries and suggestions from near and far, including from members of the public interested in assisting with response efforts.

Do you know when your business can reopen?  What about your customers?

Here are some tools you can use. The U.S. retail and manufacturing sectors are beginning to reopen in many places around the country.  To stay informed about local conditions where your business operates, as well as what is happening to your customers in other parts of the country, here is an interactive map created by the US Chamber of Commerce that is regularly updated to provide state-by-state reopening information.  The Chamber’s website contains other COVID-related links you might find useful.

Stay informed so that you know when you and your customers can reopen and the rules and precautions you will be expected to follow. If you have questions about the status of reopening plans in specific states, please contact  Marie Clarke or Grant Johnson for more information.
