The U.S. Consumer Protection Safety Commission (CPSC) announced last week that it was recalling Bestar Wall Beds (manufactured by a Canadian company named Bestar), after receiving over 60 complaints about the products detaching from the wall and injuring consumers, including one adult who died from her injuries. The recall involves Nebula, PUR, Versatile, Edge, Cielo, Audrea, Lumina, Orion and Novello Full and Queen Wall Beds. The beds were sold online at Wayfair.com, Costco.com, Cymax.com and Amazon.com from June 2014 through March 2022. Canadian authorities have issued a similar recall for these products sold in Canada.

Under the CPSC’s recall, consumers are entitled to a free inspection to determine if their wall bed requires reinstallation, and if so, to reimbursement of reinstallation costs.
