CPSC Recalls Cyme Tech Murphy Beds

The U.S. Consumer Protection Safety Commission (CPSC) has recalled Cyme Tech Murphy beds (manufactured by a Canadian company named Cyme Tech), after receiving over 140 complaints about the products detaching from the wall, including over 60 resulting in consumer injuries. The recall involves Ivy Bronx, Orren Ellis, Stellar Home Furniture and Wade logan branded Full and Queen Murphy beds. The beds were sold online at Wayfair.com, Allmodern.com, Wal-mart.com, Cymax.com and Amazon.com from June 2014 through March 2022. Canadian authorities have issued a similar recall for these products sold in Canada.

Under the recall, consumers are entitled to a free inspection to determine if their wall bed requires reinstallation, and (if so) will be reimbursed for reinstallation costs.  Cyme Tech is contacting all known purchasers directly.
