Are you having trouble finding good quality job applicants? Consider hosting a National Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) event at your plant this coming October.

Held each year on the first Friday of October, MFG Day is an annual event planned by the Manufacturing Institute (the nonprofit workforce development and education partner of the National Association of Manufacturers) to inspire young people to consider becoming part of the manufacturing workforce of the future. The Institute helps individual manufacturers showcase modern manufacturing careers and technologies while highlighting the benefits that manufacturing offers your community.

MFG Day events often consist of facility tours or participation at manufacturing job fairs or expos, and must be open to students, parents and/or educators. By hosting an MFG Day event at your plant, your company can educate your local community about the work you do and connect with students interested in pursuing careers in manufacturing.

MFG Day will be held this year on October 6, 2023. For more information and to help you get started planning your event, the Manufacturing Institute has organized a series of webinars and tutorials in the lead up to MFG Day 2023 to answer your questions and provide suggestions.
