A bill that would create a labeling requirement for all consumer products that contain PFAS was introduced in Michigan. If enacted, MI SB 735 would require warnings labels on a product or packaging that includes PFAS stating that exposure to PFAS may have adverse health effects. This bill defines PFAS broadly as any organic chemical containing at least one fully fluorinated carbon atom.
