The Circular Action Alliance (CAA) is the Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) implementing packaging extended producer responsibility (EPR) laws in CA, CO, OR, MN, MD, and WA. CAA is drafting a certification standard to support the implementation of responsible end market (REM) requirements established in U.S. EPR laws for packaging. The REM Standard is intended to provide a consistent set of operational and documentation requirements for verifying how covered materials are managed in states with packaging EPR laws.  

This webinar, hosted by CAA, outlines key elements of the proposal and explains how to participate in the public comment process. CAA has invited stakeholders to review and submit comments on the draft REM Standard by July 1, 2027. Feedback will strengthen the clarity, feasibility, and effectiveness of the final standard.
